Nusa Dua, Indonesia, 14 November 2022 (dpa/MIA) - The use or threat of nuclear weapons in Ukraine must be opposed, US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed on Monday after Biden broached the question of Russian threats about nuclear use, according to the White House. At their meeting on the Indonesian island of Bali on Monday, the US and the Chinese leader condemned Russian threats to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine. China's stance can be seen as a rebuke to Putin from a key ally. Russian officials have previously said that only a threat to Russian state security would mandate the use of nuclear weapons.
