Skopje, 7 March 2023 (MIA) - The National Gallery has announced the annual program on the occasion of its 75th anniversary. The program will begin with an exhibition on International Women's Day - March 8, entitled 'Motherhood'. The exhibition, which includes works from the collection of the National Gallery, will be displayed on Tuesday in Chifte Hammam.

"The exhibition presents a selection of Macedonian and foreign authors, who mostly belong to the first generations of artists and deal with the theme of mother and mother with child. The selection includes works that are part of the National Gallery's rich collection. The exhibition features about forty works - drawings, paintings, icons, sculptures, tapestries, plotter print photos. Authors from the first generations include Dimitar Andonov Papradishki, Nikola Martinoski, Lazar Lichenoski, Dimche Koco, Dimo Todorovski, as well as authors from the Yugoslav collection including Pavle Simić, Luka Tošanović, etc." the National Gallery said.

According to the National Gallery, the celebration of its 75th anniversary will continue with the project "Landscape Experience" by Robert Jankuloski and Monika Moteska on March 30, 2023, in Chifte Hammam.

"It is a multimedia project that includes video installations, objects, and photographs. The “aesthetics” of abandoned (neglected) landscapes, placed in a new context, with new layers of transcription of the dispositions life-death, beautiful-ugly, vital-toxic are the focus of this project," adds the National Gallery.
