Kavadarci, 6 December 2025 (MIA) — At the party's 18th congress taking place in Kavadarci, VMRO-DPMNE's president Hristijan Mickoski was reelected for his third and final term, according to the party's statute. 

According to Zorancho Jovanchev, the party's election commission chairman, 804 of the 817 delegates attending the congress voted in favor of Mickoski's continued presence at helm of the party in the next four years.

Mickoski was running unopposed. Earlier, he addressed the delegates and spoke about the nation's self-confidence, maturity and economy, among other things.

At the congress, held under the motto "Vision that Builds a State: For the Next Generation 2030," the party adopted two documents: its Macedonia 2030 Strategy and its Doctrine.

After the vote count, the VMRO-DPMNE leader held another speech. He thanked the party on reelecting him president and said it was not easy being leader, but it was a weight that he would carry "calmly; calmly because I know I am not carrying it alone."

"We adopted documents that are this party's future and that should restore faith in politics," Mickoski said, adding that "with a strategy and a plan in place, results are within reach and the future is guaranteed." mr/
