Skopje, 31 March 2026 (MIA) — Montenegrо's President Jakov Milatović, on his first official visit to the country, met Tuesday with Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi to discuss ways to deepen friendly ties and strengthen regional cooperation. 

According to an official press release, after his tête-à-tête meeting with Gashi, Milatović addressed Parliament. In his speech, he described bilateral ties as a model of regional cooperation.

"Our two countries are connected by sincere friendship, mutual respect and a common commitment to European values," Milatović said.

During the visit, also considered were several sectors with high potential for economic growth and increased trade, including tourism, agriculture, transportation and the digital economy. mr/
