Fog reduces visibility on roads nationwide
- Fog has caused reduced visibility from 20–30 meters on the Tetovo–Gajre road, 100–150 meters on the Skopje–Veles, Veles–Skopje, Skopje–Kumanovo, Kumanovo–Skopje routes, and the Hipodrom interchange–Skopje bypass. Visibility is limited to 80 meters on the Delchevo–Makedonska Kamenica road and 50–100 meters at the Gjavato mountain pass.

Skopje, 9 January 2025 (MIA) - Fog has caused reduced visibility from 20–30 meters on the Tetovo–Gajre road, 100–150 meters on the Skopje–Veles, Veles–Skopje, Skopje–Kumanovo, Kumanovo–Skopje routes, and the Hipodrom interchange–Skopje bypass. Visibility is limited to 80 meters on the Delchevo–Makedonska Kamenica road and 50–100 meters at the Gjavato mountain pass.
Mainly wet roads are reported nationwide amid winter conditions with moderate traffic outside urban areas.
Delays at Macedonian borders to exit and enter the country are not reported.
The Bashino Selo bridge is closed for traffic as of Jan. 3, 2025.
As of Nov. 15, 2024, winter equipment in vehicles is mandatory until Mar. 15, 2025.
Landslides are possible along the routes of Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully, adjust their speed to weather conditions and follow traffic rules, signs and signals.
